A Day At The Emirates Singapore Derby Race

I was at the Turf Club to witness the one of the richest and most prestigious events on Singapore’s racing calendar, the 2,000-metre Emirates Singapore Derby race at the Singapore Racecourse.

A few friends gathered together for this fun and exciting event. The ladies were all decked out in their fascinators and colourful dresses. What an event!

My friends laughed at me when I bought the Punter's Way guidebook at the entrance. These were the same people who took the guide away from me in the later races and studied it like it was their 10-years-series! Hahaha!

Steffie's friend Jeremy helped us with this arrangement. He was so nice to invite us for this race and even housed us at the Horse Owners Lounge. That was pretty cool! He even took us to see the horses.

But the exciting part was the betting. Lynnette, who was a first timer at the Turf Club, won at her first hand. Beginner's luck some might say, but that got her hooked on the races. Hahahaha!!! You could see her studying the Punter's Way so seriously and observing the horses. I had pictures to prove!

One of the highlights was celebrating Reggie's birthday there at the lounge. We even had the cake and sang the birthday song among all the punters. Heh!

I had alot of fun even though I didn't win at any race. But it was extremely entertaining and enjoyable... especially with good friends.
